ABOUT THE FAIR
The International Bakery Exhibition (iba) is considered the leading global trade fair for the bakery, confectionery, and snacks industries. It represents a global highlight for the bakery and confectionery industry. Since its founding in 1949, it has established itself as an indispensable platform for industry experts, decision-makers, and the trade public. It takes place every two years in the fall, attracts thousands of visitors, and is organized by GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH.
Within the spacious grounds, the iba showcases a broad spectrum of topics. These range from raw materials and baking ingredients to production and packaging techniques, and even complete interior designs for bakeries, confectioneries, and cafes. On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 6 days of the fair, from 15. September to 20. September 2018, about 1300 exhibitors and 77000 visitors from 170 countries on the iba in Munich. The iba will take place on 5 days from Sunday, 24. October to Thursday, 28. October 2027 in Munich.
