ABOUT THE FAIR
AMERICANA is Europe’s largest and most prestigious trade and experience fair for Western riding and recreational equestrian sports. Since its founding in 1986, it has stood for authenticity and tradition, inspired by the American origins of Western riding. Every two years in September, the event opens its doors at the modern exhibition center in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance, easily accessible both nationally and internationally. Organized by Messe Friedrichshafen GmbH, the fair provides a diverse platform for equestrian enthusiasts, riders, breeders, service providers, and industry innovators, all backed by expertise and commitment.
AMERICANA is characterized by its thematic diversity and high degree of specialization. Visitors experience the entire spectrum of Western riding, ranging from international sporting competitions and health and training forums to innovations in stable construction, investment goods, horse trailers, and towing vehicles. Lifestyle and start-up areas further enrich the offering. Highlights include top-level riding competitions in more than 50 disciplines, such as reining, cutting, or ranch riding, along with atmospheric evening shows in the renowned show arena. Each exhibition hall focuses on a specific theme, reminiscent of the diversity of US states and making orientation easy and intuitive. Expert lectures, workshops, a health congress, hands-on demonstrations, and a dedicated EDHV area for hoof care provide valuable insights into sustainable animal health and modern horse training.
