ABOUT THE FAIR
The wine fair "Wein im Schloss" in Mondsee is a highlight for wine enthusiasts, exhibitors, wine merchants, and vintners. Since its premiere in April 2014, it has evolved into a significant meeting point for the wine industry. The organization is managed by Messen CMW Peter Lindpointner GmbH & Co KG, renowned for their expertise in executing high-quality events.
At "Wein im Schloss," visitors can expect a wide array of wines, sparkling wines, brandies, distillates, and culinary delights such as antipasti, cheese, olives, oils, pesto, bacon, salami, truffles, honey, jams, and chocolates. This diverse selection attracts not only individuals but also provides an ideal platform for restaurants, resellers, and wine merchants to expand their offerings.
A highlight of the fair is its venue: the historic columned halls of Mondsee Castle create a unique ambiance. Admission tickets include tastings of wine and mineral water, allowing visitors to explore and savor a variety of flavors.
Geographically situated in the advantageous Mondseeland, with its lakes Mondsee and Irrsee, the region benefits from its proximity to the festival city of Salzburg and the gateway to the Salzkammergut. This makes it an attractive destination for visitors from various directions, with a broad catchment area extending from the Salzkammergut across Salzburg to the neighboring districts of Upper Austria.
The fair thus offers an exclusive platform to stay informed about the latest wine trends, sample exquisite products, and engage with experts and other wine aficionados. The fair combines enjoyment and culture in one of Austria's most charming regions.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 2 days of the fair, from 29. March to 30. March 2019, about 60 exhibitors on the Wein im Schloss in Mondsee. The Wein im Schloss in Mondsee took place from Fri., 22.03.2024 to Sat., 23.03.2024 for the 7th time.
