ABOUT THE FAIR
Rhein Neckar Creativ is an annual consumer exhibition dedicated to arts and crafts, creative hobbies, handicrafts and DIY projects. It takes place each year at the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle in Ludwigshafen am Rhein and is organised by Okken GmbH, an experienced organiser of trade and consumer exhibitions specialising in creative leisure and hobby sectors.
The event is aimed at hobby crafters, artisans, DIY enthusiasts, families and anyone interested in discovering new creative techniques or sourcing high-quality craft supplies. Combining retail opportunities with inspiration and hands-on experiences, Rhein Neckar Creativ offers visitors the chance to explore, test and purchase a wide variety of creative products and materials while benefiting from expert advice.
The exhibition covers a broad spectrum of creative disciplines, ranging from textile crafts and traditional paper crafts to the latest DIY trends. A particular focus is placed on textile arts, including fabrics, patchwork, sewing, sewing machines, wool, yarns, felting, embroidery, haberdashery and a comprehensive selection of related accessories. The programme is complemented by scrapbooking, card making, rubber stamping, origami and an extensive range of materials for paper crafts. Exhibitors also showcase paints, brushes, drawing and painting supplies, together with specialist effect materials for a wide variety of artistic and creative applications. Further highlights include jewellery making with beads, gemstones and accessories, as well as contemporary DIY techniques such as diamond painting, resin art, casting techniques, silicone moulds, craft concrete, woodcraft, miniature making and 3D printing. The exhibition is further enhanced by products and ideas for baking and cake decorating, alongside handcrafted decorative and designer pieces created by skilled artisans.
One of the event's defining features is its extensive programme of workshops and interactive demonstrations, where visitors can try out creative techniques under expert guidance. Activities such as painting, blob painting, casting techniques, miniature making and 3D printing provide practical, hands-on experience, making the exhibition an engaging destination for both adults and children. Many workshops do not require advance booking, allowing visitors to participate spontaneously throughout the event.
Exhibitors primarily represent the fields of handicrafts, textiles, arts and crafts supplies, artists' materials, jewellery-making accessories, DIY products, creative materials, artisan crafts, home décor, baking supplies, as well as machinery and equipment for creative hobbies. Alongside private craft enthusiasts, the exhibition also attracts artisans, workshop tutors, designers, small-scale manufacturers, specialist retailers, and representatives from creative schools and associations seeking to discover new products, materials and emerging trends.
With its spacious exhibition halls, the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle in Ludwigshafen provides an ideal venue for the event's diverse displays, retail stands and workshops. Conveniently located, it is easily accessible by car via the surrounding motorway network as well as by public transport. Ample parking is available in the immediate vicinity.
