ABOUT THE FAIR
The Gießen Reptile Expo is a public event held three times a year, and has established itself as a unique meeting point for reptile enthusiasts, terrarium hobbyists, and breeders from all over Germany. It is organized by Hans Josef Rolinski, an experienced expert in the field, under the label "Reptilienbörsen Rolinski"—a name known for professional organization and a high level of credibility.
Held at the Hessenhallen exhibition center in Gießen, a lively university town in the heart of central Hesse, the expo regularly brings together exhibitors from various regions. They showcase a fascinating array of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates—from lizards, snakes, geckos, and frogs to turtles, bearded dragons, praying mantises, tarantulas, and stick insects. Visitors can also find small mammals like mice, hamsters, and guinea pigs, along with a wide range of live and frozen feeder animals such as crickets, locusts, and feeder mice.
More than just a marketplace, the Gießen Reptile Expo serves as a platform for knowledge and exchange. It offers valuable opportunities for both experienced breeders and newcomers to connect with experts, share insights, and deepen their understanding of responsible animal care. The event is further enriched by specialized literature, high-quality accessories, professional terrarium equipment—including UV lamps, heat mats, and custom-built glass and wooden enclosures—as well as a selection of terrarium plants, from bromeliads and tillandsias to cacti and orchids.
