ABOUT THE FAIR
The "akustika" fair, formerly known until 2022 as the "Musik-Messe," is an annual event held in Nuremberg and organized by AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen GmbH. Serving as a platform for the world of acoustic musical instruments, it attracts both small artisan businesses and medium-sized enterprises. Its offerings include a wide range of brass and woodwind instruments, plucked and bowed strings, pianos, and grand pianos, complemented by sheet music and musical accessories.
It targets a diverse audience, including music students, university students, orchestral musicians, soloists, and specialty retailers from both domestic and international markets. As the only event of its kind throughout Germany, it provides an extensive product range and services for musicians. With around 130 exhibitors, including renowned manufacturers and well-known brands, the fair emphasizes quality and craftsmanship.
Visitors have the opportunity to try out instruments on site and get first-hand information about their unique features directly from the manufacturers. A varied accompanying program, including over 30 concerts across different genres on the Atrium Stage and the Center Stage, as well as "Craftsmanship in Action," where the making of instrument parts is demonstrated live, enriches the fair experience.
The Education Center offers workshops over three days with renowned instructors, covering a wide range of topics that appeal to both beginners and professional musicians.
