ABOUT THE FAIR
The NUFAM in Karlsruhe is one of the most important trade fairs for the commercial vehicle industry in Germany and Europe. Since its launch in 2009, it has established itself as a central platform for manufacturers, dealers, service providers, and industry professionals who want to learn about and exchange ideas on the latest developments and innovations in the commercial vehicle sector. Organized by Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress GmbH (KMK), the event stands out for its professional management and modern infrastructure. Held every two years in autumn at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Center in Rheinstetten, the location offers strong ties to the automotive industry and ideal conditions for showcasing future-oriented vehicle technologies.
Although primarily aimed at industry professionals such as buyers and specialists, the fair also welcomes a broader audience. As a result, it not only facilitates business networking but also contributes to the industry’s image and supports the recruitment of new talent. One of the key thematic focuses is “New Mobility,” covering alternative drive systems such as electric, hydrogen, and fuel cell technologies, along with the necessary infrastructure. This future-focused area is complemented by innovations in digitalization, including telematics, fleet management, and driver assistance systems.
The exhibition covers the full spectrum of the commercial vehicle sector—from heavy-duty trucks, transporters, trailers, and body systems to components, chassis, interiors, wheels, and accessories. Urban logistics solutions for the so-called last mile are also represented, such as cargo bikes and intelligent courier, express, and parcel (CEP) concepts. Additionally, municipal applications are included, featuring vehicles and equipment designed for use by cities and local authorities.
The supporting program adds significant value for visitors, offering expert forums, special exhibitions, panel discussions, and hands-on live demonstrations. Thematic focus days provide deeper insights into topics such as telematics, workshop solutions, and cargo securing. A central special exhibition is dedicated to new drive technologies, while the Truck Driver Forum—an interactive format—encourages dialogue between drivers and industry professionals. The fair also highlights training opportunities and career paths, actively supporting the industry’s efforts to secure skilled labor for the future.
With its modern infrastructure, excellent transport links—both by car and public transit—and numerous nearby accommodation options, the Karlsruhe venue in Rheinstetten offers ideal conditions for both national and international visitors. NUFAM not only represents the present of the commercial vehicle industry but also, and above all, its future—informative, innovative, and hands-on.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 4 days of the fair, from 21. September to 24. September 2023, about 400 exhibitors from 23 countries and 24000 visitors on the NUFAM Karlsruhe in Rheinstetten. The NUFAM Karlsruhe will take place on 4 days from Wednesday, 22. September to Saturday, 25. September 2027 in Rheinstetten.
