ABOUT THE FAIR
Milano Unica is a leading international trade fair for high-quality textiles and accessories. Since its inception in 2005, it has been held twice a year at the prestigious Fiera Milano exhibition center in Rho, near Milan. Organized by SITEX S.p.A., an experienced Italian company specializing in major professional events, the fair is exclusively open to industry professionals such as fashion designers, buyers from luxury brands, and sector experts.
Milano Unica stands out for its focus on premium textiles for apparel, setting industry standards with its exceptional selection of luxury fabrics for both menswear and womenswear. Exhibitors showcase exquisite materials including fine wool, silk, cotton, and linen, alongside innovative fibers used in suits, shirts, blouses, and coats. A defining feature of the event is its strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation: eco-friendly textiles made from recycled materials, organic cotton, and environmentally responsible production methods are prominently featured, as are technological advancements such as smart textiles, water-repellent and breathable fabrics, and certifications like OEKO-TEX®, GOTS, and Bluesign®.
In addition, Milano Unica offers exclusive insights into creative design trends by presenting the color and fabric directions for upcoming fashion seasons. It highlights collaborations with designers and displays sample collections from leading Italian and international weavers. The fair also underscores the strength of "Made in Italy" with a curated selection of renowned Italian manufacturers, complemented by high-end exhibitors from Europe, Japan, and other discerning markets.
Another key highlight is the fair’s focus on digital innovation and forward-looking themes. These include the presentation of digital sample collections, virtual showrooms, and a deep engagement with sustainable production processes and circular economy principles.
