ABOUT THE FAIR

METEC is an international trade fair and congress that specializes in metallurgy, steel casting, and steel production. Recognized as the world's leading trade fair for foundry technology, it is organized by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and held every four years at the state-of-the-art, versatile exhibition grounds in Düsseldorf. The inaugural METEC took place in 1979 and has since been exclusively open to trade visitors. The fair focuses on topics such as the production of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, equipment and components for foundries and rolling mills, measurement and control technology, and data communication. METEC provides a significant platform for the exchange and presentation of the latest innovations and technologies in the metallurgy industry. It showcases a wide array of products and services, including machinery and equipment for metal production and processing, measurement and control technology, and IT solutions. In conjunction with the fair, numerous lectures and seminars address the latest developments in the metallurgy industry. Moreover, METEC is held concurrently with the GIFA (Foundry Trade Fair), THERMPROCESS (Thermal Process Technology), and NEWCAST (Casting Products) technology fairs, enabling visitors to explore a wide array of topics and benefit from synergistic opportunities. METEC is of considerable significance to the industry, providing businesses with the opportunity to present their products and services to a wide international audience, and to foster and expand business relationships. With its international focus, METEC is one of the most essential events in the global metallurgy and steel industry. On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 5 days of the fair, from 25.
