ABOUT THE FAIR
The International Dairy Expo & Conference, commonly known as IDEC, is the premier event in the East African dairy industry. Annually, usually in September, the industry's who's who gathers at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya.
The dairy sector in Kenya, and indeed in Africa as a whole, is experiencing rapid growth. This is in part due to the emerging urban middle class that has developed a taste for dairy products. With enhanced knowledge on efficiency and cold chain technologies, milk production in the region could continue to rise significantly.
