ABOUT THE FAIR
Drema in Posen is the leading international trade fair for the wood processing and furniture industries in Central and Eastern Europe. Its name derives from the Polish term DREwniane MAteriały, meaning "wood materials", which aptly reflects the thematic focus of the event. Each year – typically in September – professionals from around the world gather at the Poznan International Fair Grounds to explore the latest technologies, trends, and innovations in the industry. The event is organized by the renowned mtp GRUPA, one of the most prominent trade fair organizers in the region.
What sets Drema apart is its comprehensive coverage of the entire wood processing value chain. From sawing and cutting to surface finishing, assembly, and the final production of furniture, doors, or windows, every stage of manufacturing is represented. Exhibits include specialized machinery, portable tools, robotics solutions, conveyor systems, and equipment for energy generation from wood waste. These are complemented by innovative materials and technologies for furniture production, as well as products focused on environmental protection, energy efficiency, fire safety, and occupational health – all reflecting the industry's growing commitment to sustainable manufacturing.
As a key platform, Drema brings together manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers from across mechanical engineering, tool technology, surface treatment, maintenance, and software solutions including CAD, ERP, and production control. The fair also welcomes independent research institutes, educational organizations, and specialist publishers with a focus on the wood and furniture sector. One of the fair’s highlights is the Wood Promotion Pavilion, which vividly showcases the potential of wood as a sustainable material. Live demonstrations of state-of-the-art machinery and technologies are among the major attractions for attendees.
