The Bamberg Christmas Market is an annual highlight that traditionally takes place during the Advent season in the picturesque city of Bamberg. First inaugurated in 1911 on the promenade, the market has a long-standing tradition deeply rooted in local culture. In 1970, it was relocated to its current location, Maximiliansplatz. Here, it is expertly organized by the Bamberg Tourism & Congress Service, an entity responsible not just for the market's execution but also possessing profound knowledge of the region and its unique features. Maximiliansplatz is situated in the heart of Bamberg, a city renowned for its historic architecture and cultural heritage. The market particularly benefits from the backdrop of the New Town Hall, whose splendid architecture lends an incomparable atmosphere to the market scene.
