ABOUT THE FAIR
The Appliance & Electronics World Expo (AWE) is one of the world’s leading trade fairs for home appliances and consumer electronics. Held every March since its inception in 1992, the event takes place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) – a state-of-the-art exhibition venue with excellent transport links, located at the heart of China’s economic powerhouse.
Organised by the China Household Electrical Appliances Association (CHEAA), the country’s principal industry body for the home appliances sector, AWE is aimed at a global trade audience. Each year, it attracts more than 300,000 visitors and over 900 exhibitors from across a wide range of industries. Exhibitors include manufacturers of household and kitchen appliances, providers of smart home technology, tech-sector start-ups, leading players from the electronics and communications industries, as well as stakeholders in sustainable energy solutions.
At the core of AWE is an innovative “AI+” ecosystem that extends well beyond conventional appliances. It showcases how artificial intelligence is reshaping the entire consumer goods value chain – spanning smart home systems, digital entertainment, intelligent mobility, healthcare technology and integrated urban living concepts.
