ABOUT THE FAIR

The Vienna Advent Market and Christmas Exhibition, a highlight of the pre-Christmas season, are held annually amidst the idyllic setting of the Hirschstetten Flower Gardens. With its festive tradition, unbroken since its inaugural event in 2002, the market has become a must-visit for lovers of Christmas magic. From Thursday to Sunday, from November to December, this special market opens its doors to visitors who want to immerse themselves in the pre-Christmas spirit. During this contemplative time of year, the gardens are bathed in a sea of lights, illuminating the dark winter days. The choice of the Hirschstetten Flower Gardens as the venue is no coincidence. This green oasis, managed by MA 42 – the Vienna City Gardens, offers a unique atmosphere with its extensive parks and greenhouses, further enriched by the historical buildings and thematic gardens. Spanning various areas of the gardens, the market site offers a diverse range of products. At the lovingly decorated stalls, visitors can find traditional handicrafts, unique gift ideas, and seasonal decorations. A special feature of the market is the Christmas exhibition "Christmas Fairy Tales," which enchants both young and old anew each year.
