ABOUT THE FAIR
The WARSAW BOOK FESTIVAL is one of Poland's leading literary and book fairs, serving as a key platform for the publishing and bookselling industry. The event brings together readers, authors, publishers, booksellers, educational institutions and trade professionals, creating an inspiring forum for exchanging ideas on literature, reading culture and the future of the book market.
The festival is held at the modern PTAK Warsaw Expo exhibition centre in Nadarzyn, just outside Warsaw. It is organised by Ptak Warsaw Expo Sp. z o. o., one of the largest exhibition organisers in Central and Eastern Europe. The company hosts numerous international trade and consumer exhibitions and has established itself as a leading meeting place for a wide range of business and cultural sectors.
The WARSAW BOOK FESTIVAL showcases the latest book releases, celebrates literature in all its diversity and highlights innovations across the publishing and media industries. Visitors can explore both traditional and digital publishing formats, meet authors in person, and attend book launches, author readings, panel discussions and workshops. The festival also offers valuable insights into emerging trends in reading and publishing. A particular highlight is the Warsaw Book & Literature Forum, the festival's accompanying professional conference. It brings together authors, publishers, literary agents, educators, industry experts and content creators to discuss current developments in the publishing sector, innovative publishing models, new marketing strategies and the future of reading in an increasingly digital society. The conference provides an excellent platform for professional exchange, networking and the development of new partnerships across the literary and publishing community. The programme also features author meet-and-greet sessions, book signings, book presentations and family-oriented events, with a strong emphasis on direct interaction between authors and their readers. Literary competitions and internationally recognised literary awards, however, are not among the event's defining features.

The PTAK Warsaw Expo in Nadarzyn, the festival venue, is one of the largest and most modern exhibition and convention centres in Central Europe, offering outstanding facilities for international exhibitions and congresses. Its location close to Warsaw, with direct access to the S8 and A2 expressways and only a short distance from Warsaw Chopin Airport, ensures convenient access by car, public transport and shuttle services for visitors travelling from the capital, across Poland and from abroad.
The first edition and therefore the premiere of the WARSAW BOOK FESTIVAL takes place on 3 days from Fri., 11.12.2026 to Sun., 13.12.2026 in Nadarzyn.
