ABOUT THE FAIR
Vinea Tirolensis is South Tyrol’s most important trade fair dedicated to independent winemaking, offering a unique showcase of the region’s diverse wine landscape. Held annually in autumn at the Fiera di Bolzano / Messe Bozen, the event is organized by Messe Bozen AG in collaboration with the Freie Weinbauern Südtirols (FWS). The FWS is an association of quality-driven winegrowers committed to crafting authentic wines — from vineyard care to cellar work and bottling, all carried out independently.
Unlike traditional consumer fairs, Vinea Tirolensis is aimed specifically at industry professionals from the hospitality sector, gastronomy, wine trade, and media. It serves as a platform for personal exchange, culinary cooperation, and the development of sustainable networks. At its core lies direct interaction between producers and those who value origin, quality, and transparency in winemaking.
Visitors can taste and explore wines that express the full diversity of South Tyrol’s terroir — from distinctive white varieties such as Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc to characterful reds like Lagrein, Pinot Nero, Schiava, and Merlot.
