ABOUT THE FAIR
SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria is a specialised trade fair for advanced security technologies, aimed specifically at professional users, decision-makers and industry experts. It positions itself as a practical, solutions-driven platform showcasing real-world applications – from the protection of critical infrastructure to intelligently networked security systems.
The event will take place for the first time in October 2026 at Messe Klagenfurt, extending the established SicherheitsExpo concept, which has been firmly positioned as a leading trade fair in southern Germany for over two decades in Munich. It is organised by AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen GmbH, an experienced trade fair organiser known for its strong thematic focus and high-quality exhibitor profile.
A central theme of SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria is the protection of critical infrastructure (KRITIS), an area of growing importance in light of increasing threats such as cyberattacks, sabotage and natural hazards. The exhibition covers a wide range of solutions, including access control, video surveillance and perimeter protection, as well as fire protection, alarm systems and advanced IT security. Particular emphasis is placed on digital innovation, including cybersecurity, the use of artificial intelligence in security systems, drone technology and the integration of networked solutions that bring together physical and digital security.
In addition, the event addresses strategic and economic aspects such as integrated security management, crisis and emergency planning, and the efficiency of security investments. The programme is complemented by topics including building security, data protection, secure communications, security services and training concepts. Visitors gain not only an overview of products but also a solid basis for informed decision-making within their organisations.
Exhibitors represent a broad cross-section of the security industry, including manufacturers of security technologies, IT and software companies, planning consultancies, advisory firms and providers of security services. Trade visitors primarily come from industry and the public sector, as well as from critical infrastructure sectors such as energy and utilities, healthcare, logistics, and security and facilities management.
As part of an established series of events, SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria builds on the success of its Munich counterpart, transferring its proven concept to an internationally oriented region. In addition to the exhibition itself, the event features expert presentations, practical demonstrations and networking opportunities, with a clear focus on knowledge transfer and tangible value.
Klagenfurt offers a strategically advantageous location in the heart of the Alpe-Adria region. The modern exhibition centre is easily accessible by road via the Südautobahn, as well as by rail and through the nearby Klagenfurt Airport, providing ideal conditions for an international trade fair. In this way, SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria positions itself as a key meeting point for the industry and a driving force for security solutions in an increasingly interconnected and security-critical world.
The first edition and therefore the premiere of the SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria takes place on 2 days from Wed., 14.10.2026 to Thur., 15.10.2026 in Klagenfurt.
