ABOUT THE FAIR
The SEER Fair in Algiers is an annual event focusing on the latest developments in electricity and renewable energy. SEER stands for "Salon des Énergies Renouvelables," which translates to "Renewable Energy Fair."
The role of renewable energy in Algeria is of great significance in light of global efforts to reduce CO2 emissions and lessen dependence on fossil fuels. Rich in oil and gas reserves, Algeria faces the challenge of diversifying its energy mix and developing more sustainable energy sources.
By utilizing renewable energies, Algeria can reduce its reliance on oil and gas. This is important not only from an ecological standpoint but also economically significant, as it enables the country to export a larger portion of its fossil fuels rather than using them for its own energy supply. Algeria possesses one of the world's greatest potentials for solar energy, thanks to its extensive desert areas and high solar irradiation. Additionally, the country has considerable potential for wind energy, especially in coastal regions and on high plateaus.
Since its inception in 2018, the fair has become a key meeting point for professionals and interested laypeople who want to learn about the latest technologies and services in these dynamic sectors. The fair is organized by Advision El Djazair, an experienced player in fair organization known for creating high-quality platforms for information exchange and networking. The fair takes place annually in February and attracts numerous visitors, including company executives, technicians, engineers, consultants, and environmentally conscious individuals.
The SEER Fair offers a wide range of products and solutions in an emerging market and provides excellent opportunities for mutual information and experience exchange. The main topics include indoor and outdoor lighting, power generation, transmission and distribution networks, special products, including APEX-certified types, testing and measurements, control and automation, renewable energies such as solar and wind power, and smart home systems.
