ABOUT THE FAIR
The PRS Plastics Recycling Show Europe is a specialised trade fair with an accompanying conference that has served as a central platform for the European plastics recycling industry since its launch in 2015. Originally established in Brussels, the event is now held annually in Amsterdam, reflecting both the sector’s international reach and its close interconnectivity. It is organised by Crain Communications Ltd., a global media company specialising in trade publications and industry events. Through PRS, the company actively promotes knowledge transfer and dialogue between industry, policymakers and the research community.
The exhibition focuses on key topics such as the circular economy, advanced recycling technologies, sustainable material development and the implementation of European environmental legislation, including the EU Waste Framework Directive. It covers the entire value chain—from raw material development and waste collection to sorting, reprocessing and the incorporation of recycled plastics into new products. Attendees gain a comprehensive overview of practical solutions, including state-of-the-art processing technologies, digital sorting systems, recycling machinery, regranulates and services supporting sustainable production processes.
A defining feature of PRS is its strong practical orientation: companies showcase market-ready innovations, while conference speakers discuss the latest regulatory developments and technological advances. The Plastics Recycling Show Europe PRS takes place annually, and therefore for the eleventh time previsibly in May 2027 in Amsterdam.
