Nordstil is the leading regional consumer goods trade fair in northern Germany and ranks among the retail sector's most important industry meeting places. Held twice a year at the Hamburg Messe exhibition centre, it showcases the latest products, innovations and interior design ideas for the forthcoming season to a professional trade audience.
Nordstil is organised by Messe Frankfurt GmbH, headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, one of the world's leading organisers of international trade fairs. Drawing on decades of experience, the organiser combines in-depth regional market knowledge with global industry expertise, creating a platform where manufacturers, brands, craft producers and wholesalers connect with retailers.
The fair focuses on the worlds of Home, Style, Gifts and Food. Its comprehensive product offering includes furniture, home accessories, lighting, home textiles and seasonal decorations, alongside floristry products, glassware, porcelain and ceramics, candles, home fragrances, and products for the garden, balcony and barbecue. The range is further complemented by kitchenware, household goods, cutlery, delicatessen products, gourmet gifts, wines and spirits, as well as stationery, greeting cards, calendars and office supplies. Exhibitors also showcase jewellery, watches, fashion, bags, small leather goods, toys, children's products, cosmetics, fragrances, bathroom accessories and souvenirs. Design-led product innovations, cutting-edge materials, premium lifestyle collections and carefully curated product ranges complete the exhibition, providing valuable inspiration for contemporary retail and store concepts.
Nordstil plays a vital role in northern Germany's retail sector, serving as a key ordering and information platform for retailers from Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, Bremen and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, as well as neighbouring regions and Scandinavia. At the same time, the event strengthens Hamburg's economy and reinforces the Hanseatic city's position as an internationally connected centre for trade and exhibitions with a long-standing commercial tradition.
Among Nordstil's highlights are trend-focused special displays, inspiring themed areas, live demonstrations and expert presentations covering the latest developments in retail. These are complemented by innovative concepts for visual merchandising and modern store design.
Exhibitors represent the home and interiors, decoration, household goods, kitchenware, food and drink, stationery, gifts, jewellery, fashion, cosmetics, garden, toys, design and lifestyle sectors. They include established brands alongside emerging design labels, craft manufacturers and innovative companies presenting their latest collections and product ranges to the trade.
Nordstil is exclusively open to trade visitors. Key visitor groups include retailers, buyers, specialist retailers, department stores, concept stores, gift shops, furniture and home furnishing retailers, florists, boutique owners, visual merchandisers, interior designers and representatives from the hospitality, catering and e-commerce sectors. They attend the fair to discover new suppliers, identify emerging market trends at an early stage and tailor their product ranges to the coming season.
With its state-of-the-art exhibition facilities, Hamburg Messe provides the ideal setting for a successful trade fair. Located close to Hamburg city centre, the exhibition grounds are easily accessible via the city's U-Bahn and S-Bahn networks, Hamburg Dammtor station, Hamburg Central Station, the motorway network and Hamburg Airport.
