ABOUT THE FAIR
mcT Idrogeno is a highly specialized trade fair dedicated to the industrial application of hydrogen technologies – with a level of precision, depth, and focus currently unmatched in Italy.
Held annually in autumn at the modern Fiera Bergamo exhibition center in the northern Italian city of Bergamo, the event is set in a region known for its strong industrial heritage and excellent connectivity to Italy’s technological heartland.
The event is organized by E.I.O.M. – Ente Italiano Organizzazione Mostre, an experienced exhibition organizer renowned for hosting high-quality technical and industrial trade fairs throughout Italy.
mcT Idrogeno is specifically tailored to industrial hydrogen applications, covering the entire value chain – from production and storage to distribution and use in energy-intensive processes. Particular emphasis is placed on safety-related topics such as explosion protection (ATEX) and cybersecurity in industrial environments, as well as on technical maintenance. The exhibition is further enriched by innovative components including fuel cells, electrolyzers, hydrogen compressors, combined heat and power (CHP) systems, hydrogen tanks, technical gases, and waste heat recovery units (WHRU). Cross-cutting technologies are also featured – such as industrial software solutions, occupational safety systems, ventilation technology, and services in consulting, insurance, and financing, all with a focus on industrial use and operational safety.
A core element of mcT Idrogeno is its program of conferences, seminars, and workshops, which run alongside the exhibition. These sessions address current technical, regulatory, and safety-related issues surrounding the use of hydrogen in industrial settings. Professionals from engineering, operations, and safety engage directly with technology providers – in a practical, solution-oriented dialogue focused on real-world implementation.
The range of exhibitors spans from providers of industrial components, software, and safety solutions to specialists in ATEX technology, measurement and control systems, operators of hydrogen infrastructure, and research institutions. Visitors typically come from sectors such as chemical processing, energy, automation, and plant engineering, as well as from aerospace, logistics, heavy industry, and public administration.
Bergamo itself is recognized for its industrial expertise and offers a first-class exhibition infrastructure at Fiera Bergamo. The venue is easily accessible by car and public transport and is located in close proximity to Orio al Serio Airport (BGY) – one of Northern Italy’s key transportation hubs. This makes mcT Idrogeno not only a technical but also a logistical focal point for the future of industrial hydrogen.
