ABOUT THE FAIR
ITF INTERTEX SPAIN is an internationally significant trade fair for the textile and apparel industry, held annually since its inception by the renowned organizer Bgroup. The name stands for “International Textile Fair”, with “INTERTEX” deliberately emphasizing the global interconnectedness of players in the textile sector. The event takes place at the bright and architecturally impressive Pabellón de Convenciones in Madrid – a venue that reflects the openness and dynamism of Spain’s capital city.
Each year, the fair attracts exhibitors and trade visitors from over 20 countries. It serves as a specialized platform for exchange between manufacturers, suppliers, designers, and professional buyers. The focus lies on technological advancements, sustainable solutions, and innovative strength – key themes that are shaping the future of the textile industry.
The exhibition offers a wide range of products and services: from dyeing technologies, knitting and weaving machines, embroidery techniques, and textile printing systems to washing and drying equipment as well as modern CAD/CAM and automation solutions. In addition, numerous expert talks, seminars, and workshops address current market trends, sustainable production methods, and emerging business models. These formats promote knowledge transfer and provide practical value for participants.
A distinctive feature of the fair is its international orientation. Exhibitors come from textile machinery manufacturing, technical textiles, fashion design, and related sectors such as logistics, IT, and materials research. On the visitor side, the target audience primarily includes professional buyers, traders, brand manufacturers, and decision-makers actively seeking new technologies, partners, and sustainable solutions.
As part of the international ITF INTERTEX trade fair network – which is also represented in other key textile regions – the Madrid edition positions itself as a central platform for the Southern European market.
