ABOUT THE FAIR
INTEC is an international trade fair for machine tools, manufacturing, and automation technology, held every two years at the Leipzig Exhibition Center. The abbreviation "INTEC" stands for "International Trade Fair for Manufacturing Technology, Machine Tools, and Automation", highlighting its central importance for the metalworking industry in Europe. As one of the leading industry gatherings, the fair provides professionals and decision-makers with a platform for innovation, technological advancements, and business networking.
Organized by Leipziger Messe GmbH, INTEC focuses on the entire spectrum of modern metalworking. Exhibitors include companies from the fields of machine tool manufacturing, mechanical components, automation technology, robotics, and metrology, showcasing their latest developments. Grinding technology, in particular, has been further strengthened with the integration of GrindTec. Alongside traditional manufacturing processes such as cutting, forming, and welding, additive manufacturing—especially 3D metal printing—is gaining increasing significance.
