ABOUT THE FAIR
Since its founding in 2022, Hydrogen Americas has served as the central platform for the entire hydrogen industry across the American continent. The event takes place annually at rotating locations throughout the United States. The name “Hydrogen Americas” represents not only the industry event itself but also the ambition to advance the development of hydrogen as an energy carrier throughout North and South America. The exhibition is organized by Reed Exhibitions Ltd. in close collaboration with leading institutions such as the Sustainable Energy Council (SEC) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), both of which possess extensive experience in implementing energy projects and shaping policy frameworks.
Hydrogen Americas focuses on current topics that are shaping the global hydrogen sector. Key themes include the role of hydrogen in the future energy mix, political and regulatory developments such as the Inflation Reduction Act or national strategies of major countries, new financing and development models, technological advancements such as the construction of gigafactories for electrolyzers, and solutions for infrastructure and logistics. The development of e-fuels and hydrogen derivatives, the targeted use of CO₂ capture, and the integration of hydrogen into energy-intensive industries are also central subjects. The event places particular emphasis on practical relevance and showcases a wide range of products and services—from state-of-the-art electrolyzers, fuel cells, and storage technologies to transport and logistics solutions, as well as advanced certification procedures and digital applications for the hydrogen economy.
A defining feature of Hydrogen Americas is its targeted focus on the specific requirements and challenges of the American market, such as the emphasis on infrastructure projects, the promotion of national value chains, and specialized training programs for the workforce of tomorrow. Exhibitors and visitors represent all relevant sectors, including energy supply, plant engineering, technology development, heavy industry, mobility, policy, and research. Typical participants include decision-makers from businesses and public authorities, developers and operators of hydrogen projects, technical service providers, and representatives from academia and government.
