ABOUT THE FAIR
Grains Africais an international trade fair that has been held annually at the renowned Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, since 2020. The event is dedicated to grain and agricultural technologies on the African continent, with a particular focus on regional development. It attracts professionals, companies, and decision-makers from the agricultural and food industries of East and Central Africa, as well as from other regions.
Grains Africa is organized by MXM Exhibitions, an internationally active company with many years of experience in staging trade fairs for agriculture and agrotechnology, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. The fair is part of a series of events that also take place in countries such as Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda, thereby fostering regional networking and the exchange of knowledge.
The main topics at the fair include grain processing, modern milling technologies, grain storage, rice technology, and machinery and equipment for quality control and packaging. Exhibitors from more than 16 countries showcase solutions for the entire value chain – from silo and storage systems, boilers, turbines, and mill storage to cleaning and hulling machines, vibrating separators, laboratory and control systems, as well as packaging technology and conveyor belts. In addition, products such as wheat, maize, rice, various types of flour, spices, pulses, and peanuts are presented. The latest technology for color and quality control, moisture measurement, and dust reduction highlights the fair’s role as a specialized platform for sharing the latest developments.
Grains Africa is significant for Nairobi and Kenya as a whole, not only because of its professional depth but also due to its contribution to the sustainable development of the regional agricultural sector. The event is closely linked to the city’s economic dynamism, as Nairobi is regarded as a hub for the East and Central African agricultural industry. The program features networking events, panel discussions on current industry topics, and product presentations. Outstanding innovations are recognized with awards during the fair.

This year the Grains Africa takes place on 3 days from Thur., 20.08.2026 to Sat., 22.08.2026 in Nairobi already for the 6th time.
