ABOUT THE FAIR
gamescom asia is an annual trade and consumer exhibition for computer and video games that made its debut in Singapore in 2020. Since then, it has established itself as a key platform for the Asian gaming industry. As the official sister event of gamescom in Cologne—the world’s largest gaming convention—it shares the same mission: to bring together the diverse world of gaming, with a special focus on the fast-growing Southeast Asian region.
The event is organized by Koelnmesse Pte Ltd, the Asian subsidiary of the renowned Koelnmesse, which brings decades of experience in professional event organization and international outreach. Designed as a travelling trade fair, gamescom asia takes place at changing locations across Asia, though Singapore, as its place of origin, continues to play a central role.
The exhibition is structured into three interconnected segments. The Entertainment Area is aimed at the general public and the gaming community. Here, visitors can experience the latest games across all genres, discover creative indie titles, enjoy live shows, talks, and panels on stage, and connect with fellow fans. This mix of gaming, entertainment, and community interaction creates a vibrant festival atmosphere with a strong sense of belonging.
In addition, the Industry Conference & Business Area offers a dedicated platform for professionals from the global games industry. Developers, publishers, distributors, and media representatives benefit from targeted networking opportunities, expert talks on topics such as game development, marketing, and emerging technologies, as well as the chance to showcase their products in a professional B2B environment. A key highlight is the Hosted Buyers Programme, which connects international buyers with exhibitors, fostering valuable business relationships.
The event also places a strong focus on nurturing young talent through its Academy segment.
