ABOUT THE FAIR
The Deutsche Baumpflegetage are recognized as Europe’s largest and most influential professional event dedicated to tree care. They provide a unique platform for green industry professionals – practical, international, and forward-looking. Each spring, the Augsburg Exhibition Center opens its doors to this major industry event, which has become the leading meeting point for arborists, tree inspectors, consultants, municipal representatives, landscape architects, and other experts in the field. The event is organized by Forum Baumpflege GmbH & Co. KG, a company with many years of experience and close ties to both research and practice, which continuously drives new impulses for international exchange.
The DBT focuses on current and pressing topics such as the preservation of natural monuments and veteran trees, strategies for dealing with emerging pests – including the Asian longhorned beetle and bacterial oak decline – as well as legal considerations surrounding root intrusion in urban areas. The care of traditional orchard meadows and fruit trees also plays an important role. Theory and practice are closely interwoven: expert lectures are complemented by vivid live demonstrations on the outdoor grounds. The two-day Climbing Forum places a strong emphasis on practical presentations related to safety, ergonomics, and advanced rope climbing techniques.
Over 160 international exhibitors showcase the latest products, services, and technological innovations – ranging from aerial lifts and machinery to climbing gear, specialist literature, and digital tools. The event is aimed at everyone professionally involved with trees – from public authorities to specialized service providers – and fosters direct dialogue with experts, developers, and institutions from across Europe. The program is further enriched by scientific poster presentations, the ArborArt art exhibition, and numerous professional networks, all of which provide added value for participants.
