ABOUT THE FAIR
The "CitaTex" is a prestigious international trade fair for textiles and apparel accessories, held annually at the Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The name "CitaTex" symbolically represents the essence of the fair – the presentation of textiles and accessories – and has established itself as the most significant event of its kind in Cambodia.
The fair is organized by Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd., in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry & Handicrafts and the Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia (GMAC). It serves as a platform for industry experts to present and discuss the latest trends, materials, and technologies.
The main themes of CitaTex encompass the entire spectrum of textile production and processing, starting from fibers and filaments, through yarns, to high-quality fabrics and finished products. A wide variety of items are showcased, including cotton blends, silk, wool, and viscose variants, as well as technical and synthetic fibers, and an extensive range of fabrics and accessories. These include zippers, buttons, labels, fasteners, bands, badges, linings, lace, braided embroidery, rhinestone accessories, shoulder pads, branded tapes, and much more.
The fair plays a significant role in the local economy and promotes Phnom Penh as an international center for the textile and fashion industry. It attracts numerous exhibitors from various sectors, including producers of fibers, textile machinery manufacturers, and clothing companies.
