ABOUT THE FAIR
Biofach China is the leading trade fair for organic food and sustainable products in China and ranks among the most important industry events in Asia. Since its inception in 2007, it has established itself as a platform for quality, innovation, and sustainability.
Every year, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) opens its doors to trade visitors from around the globe who come to the heart of Shanghai to explore the latest developments in the organic sector. The event is organized by NürnbergMesse China Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the globally active NürnbergMesse Group, which hosts trade fairs worldwide with a strong focus on sustainability. Biofach China is considered the most important Asian branch of the international Biofach family, which includes events in Germany, India, South America, and Saudi Arabia.
The trade fair focuses on organic food and beverages, natural cosmetics, eco-friendly non-food products, and sustainable technologies. Its offerings include fresh organic produce such as fruits, vegetables, meat, and dairy products, as well as frozen foods, gourmet items, plant-based alternatives, snacks, confectionery, and beverages—from juices to organic wine. The product range is complemented by natural cosmetics, ecological cleaning products, sustainable textiles, household goods, and technical solutions for processing, packaging, and logistics.
A key feature of Biofach China is its role as a hub connecting international manufacturers, Chinese trading partners, and a growing number of environmentally conscious consumers. This exchange takes place not only at the exhibition booths but also through a comprehensive supporting program. Conferences, workshops, and seminars provide a platform for dialogue on regulatory updates, innovative packaging solutions, and trends in regenerative agriculture.
Exhibitors primarily come from the fields of food production, agriculture, natural cosmetics, packaging and processing technology, as well as service sectors such as certification and research. Visitors include specialized retailers, restaurateurs, importers, buyers from major retail chains, journalists, and institutional representatives—from both China and abroad.

SNIEC, one of Asia’s most modern exhibition venues, is conveniently located in the economically dynamic Pudong District of Shanghai. It is easily accessible via Pudong International Airport, public transportation, and numerous hotels in the immediate vicinity.
The Biofach China takes place annually, and therefore for the twentieth time previsibly in May 2027 in Shanghai.
