ABOUT THE FAIR
The Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair is one of the most prominent trade events in the international jewelry and gemstone industry. It serves as a showcase of Thai craftsmanship, global trade expertise, and creative innovation. Held twice a year, the fair takes place at the prestigious Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, located in the heart of Bangkok.
Organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) under the Ministry of Commerce, in close collaboration with the Gems Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT), the event highlights not only Thailand’s rich jewelry-making tradition but also its role as a global hub for gemstones and jewelry. The Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair provides a key platform for international trade, industry dialogue, and market expansion, making it strategically important from both an economic and cultural perspective.
The exhibition covers the entire value chain of jewelry production — from precious diamonds, pearls, and gold and silver pieces to synthetic and semi-finished gemstones, along with accessories, machinery, tools, and customized packaging and display solutions. Notable highlights include “The New Faces”, which offers a stage for emerging design talent, and the Innovation Design Zone (IDZ), where cutting-edge technologies and start-up concepts are in the spotlight. The Niche Showcase emphasizes experimental design for emerging specialty markets, while the highly regarded Fashion Show brings together leading brands and avant-garde jewelry on the runway.
Beyond trade, the fair is also a hub for knowledge exchange. Seminars, forums, and workshops cover current trends, technological developments, and marketing strategies. Business matching sessions and networking receptions facilitate targeted connections between manufacturers, designers, and traders.
