ABOUT THE FAIR
The "Asia Pharma Expo" is an international trade fair that has developed since its founding in 2003 into a central meeting point for the pharmaceutical industry in South Asia. The name of the fair, often abbreviated as APE, reflects the diverse and dynamic nature of the Asian pharmaceutical industry and its growing importance in the global market.
Annually, the fair takes place at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BCFEC) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The location was strategically chosen to appeal to both the South Asian markets and international stakeholders. This choice underscores the economic relevance of Bangladesh in the pharmaceutical industry and emphasizes the significance of Dhaka as a major business hub in this region.
The fair is organized by GPE Expo Pvt. Ltd., a company recognized for its expertise in organizing trade fairs. Each year, it brings together national and international exhibitors as well as industry professionals from various sectors to showcase and discuss new developments, products, and services.
The Asia Pharma Expo covers a wide range of topics, from pharmaceutical products to nutraceuticals, biotechnology, cosmetics, and healthcare. A particular focus is on advanced processing and packaging machinery, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), pharmaceutical bulk actives, and various excipients. Additionally, services and equipment for cleanrooms, water treatment, and management systems are presented.

Exhibitors mainly come from the pharmaceutical industry, including manufacturers of drugs, biotechnological products, and medical devices. The main visitors are CEOs and top managers, professionals from research and development, quality assurance, as well as representatives from production and procurement.
