ABOUT THE FAIR
The ADFC Cycling and Leisure Fair is an annual trade fair organized by the General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) and Frankfurter Messe & Event GmbH. It takes place in the centrally located Rhein-Sieg-Halle in Siegburg – in the heart of a cycling-enthusiastic region with an excellent network of cycle paths and opportunities for scenic tours.
The fair focuses on cycle tourism, bike technology and active leisure on two wheels. It caters to passionate cycle travellers, leisure cyclists, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone interested in the latest trends in cycling and sustainable mobility. Under the banner “Discover, Try Out, Set Off”, ADFC Rad+Freizeit offers both inspiration and practical insights – from tour planning and gear selection to undertaking cycling trips across Germany, Europe or further afield.
What sets the fair apart is its unique mix of personalised advice, genuine exchange and a spirit of adventure. Exhibitors from across the cycling, tourism, tech and outdoor sectors showcase the latest bikes – including touring bikes, e-bikes, gravel bikes and trekking bikes. At the “Cycle Travel Planning Hub”, visitors receive expert guidance from ADFC advisors, tour operators and seasoned bike travellers – covering everything from route planning and equipment tips to eco-friendly travel to and from their destination.
A particular highlight is the programme of travel talks and themed stage sessions, which take audiences on inspiring cycling adventures – from minimalist bikepacking journeys to iconic long-distance routes. The fair spotlights current trends such as gravel riding and e-mobility, and demonstrates how sustainable travel and enjoyment go hand in hand. Both domestic and international tourism regions use the event to showcase their offerings for cycle tourists and engage directly with their target audiences.
The exhibitor base is diverse, ranging from bike manufacturers and accessory brands to tourism boards, tour operators, outdoor gear suppliers, mobility providers and media outlets.
